Pakistan–Australia T20I Series Expected to Take Place in Lahore

A security delegation from Cricket Australia has reached Lahore to review preparations for the upcoming T20I tour of Pakistan. The officials will examine several key venues, including Gaddafi Stadium, the National Cricket Academy, and the LCCA Ground, to assess the security arrangements.

Sources indicate that the Pakistan Cricket Board, along with local law-enforcement authorities, will brief the Australian representatives on the full security plan prepared for the series. Lahore has been proposed as the host city for all three matches, but the final approval will depend on the delegation’s report.

Australia’s squad is expected to visit Pakistan at the end of next month for a three-match series. Earlier, the PCB had requested Cricket Australia to extend the tour to five T20Is, following discussions related to the availability of Pakistani stars Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi, who are participating in BBL 15. The PCB had granted conditional NOCs requiring players to return for national duty if needed, as the Sri Lanka T20I series overlaps with the BBL schedule.
